ABSTRACT. An annotated list of liverworts of the Ziegler Island (Franz Josef Land) was compiled for the first time based on identification of 30 specimens collected by one of the authors in north-western and southern parts of the island. The list counts 19 species, including Clevea hyalina (Sommerf.) Lindb. and Saccobasis polymorpha (R.M. Schust.) Schljakov new for archipelago. Previously unpublished GenBank accession numbers for five species (10 samples) are provided. A total of 23 accessions were deposited in GenBank. The morphological features and distribution of a number of species in the archipelago are discussed.
